When the developer decided to sell the condos as interval ownership, the affiliation with the exchange organization, Resort Condominiums International (RCI), was established, enabling owners to take advantage of other fine resorts throughout the world using weeks or points.  (You can view the RCI Timesharing Planning Calendar.)

Weeks sold were conveyed by Certificate of Beneficial Ownership and each owner pays an annual maintenance fee. Maintenance fees pay the Resort's operating expenses, taxes, and insurance, as well as the capital reserve account, or savings for the future, if you will.
